Q: Am I ELIGIBLE FOR THE PROCEDURE?

A: You are ineligible for brow services if you are: pregnant, breast feeding(exception with Doctors note), diabetic, if you have glaucoma, skin diseases, keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer or if you’re taking skin medications like steroids, accutane etc. You must also be 18+. If you have any health concerns please see your Doctor and get a Doctors note prior to your appointment. 

Q:HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR THE APPOINTMENT?

Here’s how to get your skin ready for the procedure:

• Do not pick/tweeze/wax/perform electrolysis one week before the procedure

• Do not tan one week prior to the service, or have a sunburned face

• Do not have any type of facial 2 weeks prior to the procedure

• Do not work out the day of the procedure

• Do not have botox within 2 weeks before appointment

• Do not take Fish Oil or Vitamin E one week prior to the procedure (they are natural blood thinners)

• Do not wax or tint your eyebrows 3 days prior to the procedure.

• Do NOT use any harsh chemicals around brows such as facial acids that include AHAs, BHA, Glycolic Acid, vitaminA and Retinol atleast  2 weeks before appointment.

• You Have to be off any kind of Accutane for 1 year prior to the appointment.

• Avoid aspirin and alcohol the day before your appointment and the day of.

• No caffeine, aspirin, or alcohol the day of your appointment.

• Please come with brows and make up done the way you normally wear it. This is just to give an idea of what you are use to.  

• Please arrive on time, as late appointments will not be accommodated. Please arrive alone for the appointment. We Do NOT allow visitors in the procedure room and our waiting room seating is limited. No pets, or children please, Thank you

Q: HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

A: The initial procedure takes approximately 2 -3 hours and includes brow shaping, customized colour matching and technique of choice. The first half of the appointment is the consultative component of the procedure and the second half is the procedure itself.

Q: DOES THE PROCEDURE HURT?

A: A topical anesthetic is used to numb the brow area prior to the procedure. You can expect some minor level of discomfort during the procedure similar to threading.

Q: WHAT IS THE HEALING PROCESS?

A: Healing will take 10- 14 days. During this time it is best to avoid any major activies such as swimming, tanning, major work outs or any activities that cause heavy sweating or that can cause damage to the brows. Within a few days, the pigment placed throughout your brows will have darkened and begin to scab. This is completely normall, but it could look a little patchy at first. To relieve the brows of itchiness or dryness, you may use coconut oil or grape seed oil. Once the scab falls off naturally, the color will begin to push forward to give a soft natural color.

Q: WILL I REQUIRE A TOUCH-UP?

A: Most clients require a touch-up appointment within 2 months of the initial procedure to fill in any areas of the skin that may not have fully retained the pigment - this is completely normal. For the touch up please follow the same preparation as your first appointment.  The touch-up takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

Q: WHAT IF I HAVE A PREVIOUS TATTOO?

A: Please email a photo of your brows to kristys_browblading@yahoo.com before making your appointment so we can ensure they are correctable. If you have had previous work done by another artist you are considered a NEW CLIENT , this would not be a touch up.  Touch ups are only provided to existing clients.

WHICH BROW TECHNIQUE IS BEST FOR ME?

This depends on the client’s existing brow hairs! At the beginning of every appointment there is a consultation. Your brow artist will discuss which method is most natural for you. You can also send a photo of your brows without any makeup on them so we can adivse prior to the appointment.
